SANPRI
Greater Charlotte Facilitator
Sanpri Purdy-Porter is a wife and mother of three who has worked as a licensed physical therapist in the state of North Carolina for several years. Her passion for lactation developed after having various feeding experiences, both positive and negative, with each of her children. She is keenly aware of the many challenges Black parents face when it comes to getting equitable access to lactation services for themselves, and the many barriers that have negatively impacted Black breast/chestfeeding rates specifically in the United States. In 2021, she obtained a certificate of completion from Johnson C. Smith University’s Lactation Consultant Training Program and became a Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2022. She hopes to forge connections with Black families in surrounding communities not only as a parent but as a breast/chestfeeding advocate dedicated to helping families make informed feeding choices based on their babies’ individual needs.
