LYDIA

Kansas City Facilitator

In 2013 I began my perinatal career as a registered nurse specializing in obstetrics- labor & delivery. I am also a certified doula, Evidence Based Birth Instructor, and Lactation Consultant, IBCLC.

Through travel nursing over the years, I have worked in different states at multiple hospitals as well as the local birthing center in my community. This has allowed me to learn a variety of skills in childbirth and breastfeeding working with doctors, midwives, and families in different care settings.

As a registered nurse I hold certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), AWOHNN Fetal Monitoring (Intermediate & Advanced), and Safe Sleep.

I love working with women throughout the various stages surrounding childbirth and it’s my honor to help educate and support you through your pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding journey. My desire is to help mothers and families to be as prepared as possible for the childbirth and breastfeeding experience and help them to adjust thereafter. I am very open and willing to answer questions and address any expressed concerns. Sharing the birthing process and miracle of life is my passion that began at the age of 8 years old. As a nurse I have unique insight to assist you in your goals and I appreciate the privilege to be apart of your village. Ask me anything!
