Expecting families interested in human milk feeding are welcome to join our Chocolate Milk Sprinkle meetings held on the 3rd Friday of each month.
Bring your curiosity and questions. We will be debunking myths and sharing tools best suited for beginning your lactation journey.
Whether you are contemplating if human milk feeding is the best choice for your family or can't wait to start latching your baby, this space is designed for you!
Our SPLASH Series is going through a restructure. We will not be hosting monthly classes in 2025. Please email us any inquiries you may have related to attending a lactation education class.
Chocolate Milk Cafe‘s community lactation education classes; known as our S.P.L.A.S.H. Series, are shifting the perspective on lactation awareness and human milk feeding in the Black community.
These classes provide a sacred space to empower expecting parents and families early in their journey to make informed decisions while providing culturally congruent care and debunking myths.
All classes are led by our Certified Chocolate Milk Café Facilitators.
S.P.L.A.S.H Course
The S.P.L.A.S.H. Course is a one-hour introductory class for expectant families of the African diaspora considering breastfeeding, chestfeeding, bodyfeeding, and any form of human milk feeding. During this session we will celebrate your curiosity to feed your child human milk, share why human milk is the best milk for humans, touch on protecting your milk supply and more.
Sessions are $25 to join.
Milk Life - Lactation Basics for Families
Chocolate Milk Café is shifting the perspective on lactation awareness & support for human milk with our 3-hour community lactation education class for expectant families of the African diaspora considering any form of human milk feeding; from breastfeeding to chestfeeding or bodyfeeding to exclusively pumping and beyond.
Milk Life is our Lactation Basics for Families class where we dive deeper into the information discussed in our S.P.L.A.S.H. Course.
Sessions are $75 to join for the lactating person and (1) support person.
The information in these sessions is centered around families of the African diaspora.
Participants of our S.P.L.A.S.H. Course are encouraged to pursue additional resources for optimum lactation support.
